Why Scrape Google Maps for Business Leads?
Google Maps are great for scraping local business information such as local beauty salons, convenience stores, auto garages and so on. Almost all local businesses will have a Google My Business Page simply because it generates quality leads. If you were to search for a vape shop near you, the first results would be from Google.
The scraper will scrape the following data for you:
- Website
- Business Name
- Address
- Tel No.
- Facebook URL
- Instagram URL
- Twitter URL
- Google Maps URL
- More!
Key Features of Our Google Maps Data Crawler
Proxies - Our Google Maps Data Scraping Software supports all types of proxies, including private proxies, shared proxies, backconnect rotating proxies and even public proxies. Proxies are important to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted scraping. Of course, you can scrape without a proxy at a single thread and using longer delays, but we recommend that you use private or shared proxies as these tend to be more reliable. The scraper has an inbuilt proxy tester.
Google Maps Country Selection - our bot will enable you to select either international or local Google Maps version. As well as scraping Google Maps, you can also select other website platforms to scrape at the same time. As you will notice, for UK and USA, you can expand the selection and select specific cities.
Integrated Remote Captcha Solving - our Google Maps Data Crawler has a captcha solving module that will enable you to connect to your 2captcha.com remote captcha solving account or XEvil Captcha Solving Software. I recommend that you purchase XEvil by Botmaster Labs as this captcha-solving software will save you a lot of money in the long-run. In simple words, XEvil is a way of solving Google image captchas for free.
Speed Settings - you can choose how many results the software should process per keyword. The higher the number, the slower the scraping. It is important to get the right balance. 100 to 200 results should be plenty as the further you go into the SERP graveyard, the less relevant the results tend to get. You can tell the software not to scrape more than an X number of emails from a website. If you want to save time and CPU, select the option "Do not show pictures in integrated web browsers". By enabling "application activity log" and "individual threads activity log", you will reduce the speed of scraping. It is therefore recommended that you disable these options. Sometimes, our Google Maps Scraping Bot may not find all the data by going to a target site's website. In this event, you have the option to tell the Google Maps Scraper to "Scrape Facebook in case emails not found on the target website" or "Always scrape Facebook for more Emails". You can also tell the software to scrape Twitter. By default, the software will scrape Facebook in any event. It is imperative that you DO NOT USE A VPN. The software will access your Facebook account at one thread using your local IP address at all times and using appropriate delays to make the Facebook activity look as human as possible. In the event that you use a VPN in the background, this can cause for your Facebook account to get restricted and reduce your scraping success rate.
Domain Filters - Here, you can tell the Google Maps Harvester to skip certain domains or only scrape domains that contain any of your keywords. Usually, this would involve spammy or non-relevant domains. It is entirely up to you what you input here. Do note, extensive domain blacklists may cause the scraper to consume more CPU. The idea behind domain filters is to increase the relevance of your results and skip junk entries.
Content Filters - this is where you can tell the Google Maps Scraper Tool to only scrape business data from websites that contain your niche-targeted keywords. The scraper will check the target website's meta title and meta description for your keywords and if they are not present, it will skip that website. In very simple terms, a relevant website will contain your keywords in...

In very simple terms, a relevant website will contain your keywords in the meta title and/or meta description. If it does not, then probably it is not relevant. You can configure how many keywords must be present on a target website and you can also select to "match the exact word". For example, if we have a keyword "vap" then without the "Match the exact word" setting, the scraper would pick up all website with: "vaping", "vaper", "vaporizer", etc. With this option enabled, it would only pick up websites with the exact keyword: "vap". Excessive use of the content filters can severely limit your results so it is recommended that you think your content filters through strategically before embarking on your scraping. As well as checking a site's meta title and meta description, you can configure for the software to also check the HTML of the website, which would include the body text, alt tags and so on.
Automatic File Saving - you will need to enter a file path to a folder where you would like for your business data to be saved. We recommend that you use a shorter file path by not burrying your folder too deep in your documents as this may cause some issues. In this section, you should also add your Facebook and LinkedIn account login credentials so that the software can automatically login into them should it need to go and grab extra data from those sites.
Add Footprints to your keywords - when scraping Google maps, it is advisable to select one keyword and add "location footprints". For example, if you are scraping for "vape shops" using Google maps, you would want to scrape for this keyword for different locations because one search using the keyword and without any footprints will not return many results. Inside the footprints window, you can enter the main keyword and then your locations in the "footprint1" and "footprint2" fields. Then click on merge and the bot will automatically generate your keywords and transfer them to your keywords pane.
Personalise your Scraping Experience - On the main GUI, you can select to use proxies, hide browser windows by enabling the invisible mode, scrape in fast mode. The "project name" will be the name of your file. In the event that the Google Maps Scraper stops working or unexpectedly crashes, you can select "complete previous search" option and the scraper will continue from where it left off before crashing.
Live Scraping preview - as you start to scrape, you will be able to see real time results. You can disable the live view to reduce CPU usage.
Email List Cleaner - once your scraping activity is finished, you can clean the emails inside the scraped data. You can configure the software to only save emails that match the domain name (good for GDPR compliance), save one email per domain name (you do not want to send too many emails to the same company as it will look like spam), remove duplicate emails (the scraper will do this by default). You can enter your email keyword filters that must be present inside any part of the email. You can also enter keywords that must be contained in the username. This is good for filtering out quality emails that contain the most common usernames such as "info", "hello" and so on. You can also enter a list of keywords, symbols or characters that the emails must not contain. This is good for filtering out spam traps and fake emails (i.e. £,$,%,&,*,+,=, report, spam, unsubscribe, .gov, etc.).
Once you are done with the email list cleaner, click on "Export Data" to export all records and you can also click on "Export Emails" to also export emails in a separate file/one per line (recommended). You can always come back to the email list cleaner by importing your Excel .csv file.
TWITTER AND FACEBOOK SCRAPING: SCRAPE COMPLETE BUSINESS DATA FROM LEADING SOCIAL MEDIA SITES
By default, the search engine scraper will scrape business data from the website sources that you specify in the settings. This may include Google, Google Maps, Bing, LinkedIn, Yellow Pages, Yahoo, AOL and so on. However, it is inevitable that some business records will have missing data such as a missing address, telephone number, email or website. In the speed settings, you can choose either to scrape Facebook in case emails not found on the target website OR Always scrape Facebook for more emails. You can also scrape Twitter for extra data. Inside the Save and Login Settings tab, you have the option to add the login details for your Facebook account.
The website scraper is going to access your Facebook account using your local IP with delays to emulate real human behaviour. It is therefore important that you do not run a VPN in the background as it can interfere with your Facebook account. Sometimes, Facebook will not ask the bot to login and display all the business information whilst on other occasions, Facebook will ask the scraper to login in order to view a business page. The search engine scraping software is going to add all the target websites to a queue and process each website at set intervals to avoid bans and restrictions.
